Sequins & Sofas: Spray It

Deep in the trenches of putting my new house together, I have little time for writing but offer you pictures of a few projects in the works. Spray paint is great.

It's OFFICIAL! I Own a House.

Well, Monday was a very special day. I signed the final papers and now own a home. What??? I can't believe it really. But I have never been more sure and felt more peace about a life decision than this! I owe a huge hug and thanks to my friend and realtor Liz Johnson (tchousetohome.com) for making this little dream an actual reality!

Lots to do in the next few days/weeks/months (and let's be honest, years. First task completed by learning how to check a water meter. I feel smarter already!)....cleaning, painting, packing, moving. Oodles of friends have offered their services, skills and time in many of these areas (for which I am ever so grateful) and I am excited to get the creative juices flowing to make this house a home! I have lots of ideas that I hope to share with you in the coming weeks....eeeekkkk, I can be my very own HGTV!!!!

Sequins & Sofas: 5 Things

I love:

1. Carrot Cake- It was my b-day this past weekend so my Small Group from church got this little beauty to celebrate! Thanks guys, it was delicious. I could eat carrot cake all day long.....

2. The Original Bed Buddy (Hot/Cold Pack)- On a completely unrelated note to growing a year older....my body sometimes hurts. Like my back and stuff. This little 'buddy' is the perfect friend after a long day of fun with 14 delightful 2 year olds. Pop it in the microwave for 2 minutes and boom. Relief.

3. The letter 'D'- Why? Because it's the best of all the letters. I have a wall of 'D's in my apartment....collected from various places around the land...letter walls are cool.

4. Justin's Peanut Butter Cups- I had the pleasure of trying these bad boys out on my va-cay to Colorado last month. They are gooooooo-oood. I hear that Justin's has other yummy products as well....yet to try, but I probably will. I got mine at Whole Foods.

5. Saved By The Bell- Need I say more? I was over at my friend 'D's house a few days ago and she was streaming a few episodes from Netflix. Then I remembered that I have all 5 seasons on DVD....(not the middle school years with Miss Bliss. Or the super lame College Years.) But rather the classic, amazing Mr. Belding, big hair, Jessie Spano mom jeans, scrunchies and spandex, neon everything, hangin out at The Max years. Classic.

T-ball!!!!

I spent some time this past weekend at sister B's house .... they are getting ready for a big move in the next few weeks, so we went thru a few items that she was looking to get rid of (as I am also moving and just rid myself of all extraneous clutter last week, I only took an old school scrabble game and some frozen foods to help her consume before expiration dates expired.)....and also in true little sister fashion, I brought a big basket of laundry to wash for the very last time....memories.

Later that morning, sister T came to join us with her cute as a button baby cakes and we all headed to watch a t-ball game. The star of the show....niece J:

How cute is she???? It was a fun time catching up with the sisters and letting the kiddos play...
